The FARMART event was held on November 12, 2023 for the 11th time.
Exploring Artistry and Community at FARMART
FARMART is a limited-time market based in Hachioji City where visitors can experience the fusion of “art” through “food”. The makers themselves sell "delicious" items made with love, such as locally grown seasonal vegetables and ingredients, dishes and bakeries using them, and artisanal dishes and cutlery to serve the dishes. We will also hold workshops by craft artists. FARMART brings together people who might otherwise never meet, offering opportunities to discover and reflect on what it means to live comfortably and mindfully.
Consider the food, clothes, and utensils around us. Let's reflect on our lives and reconsider the items we use daily. FARMART is a market that connects with makers.
This event was delightful and well attended even though the day was unseasonably cloudy and cold. Many Makers participated, offering products and workshops.

Exhibition of Tomoko Hirashima
This exhibition of Mr. Hirajima and Mr. Adachi was held in November 2023. Hirajima and Adachi were classmates in high school and have known each other for over 30 years. Thier carefully crafted shoes are both comfortable and stylish. I own three pairs and enjoy their excellent fit and superb craftsmanship.
