Born in 1975. Born in Tokyo.
Graduated from Wako University, Department of Art and later studied abroad in Finland. After returning to Japan, he established his original brand "KOIVU" in 2007. KOIVU means "white birch" in Finnish, its wood is used for everyday tools, including as houses and furniture. Its bark serves as a raw material for xylitol, and its leaves are an ingredient of shampoo.
We are dedicated to daily production, while considering changing world and the things that are needs of the people who inhabit it.

In order to utilize materials effectively and without waste, they are actively developing products by reusing scrap wood that is inevitably produced in furniture manufacturing.
