The ceramic has very fine pores. During initial use, water may seep through slightly.

  • Handling

    *Do not use in microwave ovens, dishwashers, open flames, or ovens. Do not use in a microwave oven, dishwasher, open flame, or oven. When not in use for a long time, dry well before storing. Mold may grow on the vase.

  • Care

    Wash the vase with a soft sponge and mild detergent. Do not store it with any moisture remaining, as this may cause mold and odor. When storing it in a cupboard for a long period of time, make sure it is thoroughly dried beforehand.

Tea stains and other stains may develop on the surface of the pot over time. If odors become an issue, soak the pot in baking soda water for half a day to a full day and let it dry completely to remove the smell.

Kanako Kamishima

Born in Hachioji City, Tokyo.

Graduated from Tama Art University, Department of Environmental Design. She learned ceramic techniques from potter Tsuyoshi Yasutate. In addition to creating works of art, she conducts pottery classes and runs a gallery at the Choroku Kiln, located at the foot of Mount Jimba in Hachioji City, Tokyo. 
Her designs strike a balance between modern and classic styles, pursuing both beauty and functionality,
She aims to create pottery that complements contemporary Japanese living.
